5 Coffee Table Books

Books are my favorite and I have them strewn around my home. A wonderful way to style them is on coffee and end tables. Sometimes topped with a vase or small object, or sometimes just stacked one on top of the other. Um, how perfect is that? You get a beautiful decor and a way to gain insight. It's such a simple and useful way to add a little design to your home and a great way to adorn your empty tables.

And another tip for inexpensive art? Cut out one of your favorite pages and frame it. Boom. Simple, easy, cheap.

Anyway, these are my top 5 favorite coffee table books.

Favorite Interiors

Ever since I moved into our new apartment, I've been obsessed with buying things to make it more comfortable and beautiful. The walls are white and tall, the windows are high and open, the colors are neutral, everything is updated, it's got an industrial loft feel to it, and there are so many options we can play around with. Hopefully once a rug is bought and a few DIY projects are completed, I'll be able to show you guys.

My favorite types of interiors? White walls, textures, pattern, plants. I love minimalism mixed with bohemian mixed with open spaces mixed with neutral colors.

Podcasts for Every Individual

I have been hearing a lot of talk about podcasts from women in my mom group and from writers I follow on Instagram. I never thought they'd excite me so I never gave them a shot. Until someone recommended me to Serial, a podcast about a murder of a high school girl in 1999. I listened to the first episode while cleaning and was absolutely hooked. Since then, I've been on the search for podcasts. Here's what I've come up with.

If you're a parent...

Listen to: The Longest Shorter Time

This beloved parenting podcast was started by Hillary Frank, a mother herself. It's known as the "parenting show for everyone" because it's so versatile and great even if you're just friends with someone who has a child. It creates a sense of community and allows parents to know they aren't alone in their struggles - something every parent needs to know at one time or another. The struggles are real and the conversations within the podcast shine light in insightful and smart ways. Frank said it best - “I’m trying to facilitate people telling their stories so we all feel less alone.”
