Rainy Days at the Library

Rainy Days at the Library

Even when it's cold or snowing or rainy, I try to get us out of the house. Being cramped up (even with creative projects and open space) in an apartment is tough - especially for children. I can't express enough how happy I'll be when warmer days become the normal so we can shed our jackets and go outside without second thought.

Our favorite thing this winter has been going to the library. They have books, a little barn shelf that kids can crawl into, stuffed animals, toys, and it's all around a nice atmosphere. Every time we go Maddox has a blast, even though he's often the only kid there.

I'm also seriously in love with this sweater my aunt made for Maddox and he is too! He picks it out as much as possible and never wants to take it off. It's the comfiest, softest thing, knitted with love and thankfully it's big enough to get some more time out of it.

Maddox's sentences are blooming like crazy and I'm always recognizing new things. I almost always know what he wants without him ever having to say anything but it's nice to have this new level of communication and understanding of one another.

How do you and your families spend rainy days?
